Janet Reeves is an illustration designer living in Austin, Texas.
She studied painting and art history at the University of Kansas. Building on that, she then studied computer graphics and illustration at the Austin Community College, and has a strong background in mural paintings.
Her art fuses line drawings with engaging textures, while presenting the subject matter in an abstracted and unique way. Merging handmade and the computer, she counts on happy accidents and pushes her work towards innovative solutions by raising the question “how could I do this wrong.”
Influencing her art style and subjects, her other interests include learning new musical instruments, concerts, reading, and various outdoor adventures. She is a strong advocate of all creative therapies such as yoga, music therapy, art therapy, and meditation – and is currently seeking a second degree in Music Therapy alongside her art.
